Flooding expected. Take action now.
Following yesterday's persistent heavy rainfall and rapid snow melt due to Storm Bert, river levels have peaked and are now falling. Further heavy rainfall is expected into Sunday morning, 24 November 2024. River levels are expected to rise again as a result of this rainfall, but are not expected to peak as high. Areas most at risk include properties along Halifax Road including Haugh Road, Shaw Wood Road and Stoodley Glen.
Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 15:45 on Sunday 24 November 2024, or as the situation changes.
