Flood alert

Rising river levels today may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible on 08 February 2026 . 
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Cale tributaries between Shalford and Southmarsh and the confluence with the River Stour. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Further rainfall is expected this afternoon, and over the next few days. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. 
This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 09 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
