Flood alert

River levels are high but falling on the River Cherwell from Charwelton to just above Upper Heyford. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 08 Feb 2026, especially in the Banbury area. Further showers are forecast for today, some could be heavy and prolonged. We expect river levels to remain high but continue to fall through today.
