Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels have risen on the Chess and are expected to remain high.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Chess, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Pednormead End, Missenden Road, Scotsbridge, Chesham, and Rickmansworth.

Further rainfall is forecast this afternoon, Saturday 2nd March, but it is expected to ease overnight.

We are in the area responding to reports of flooding and we will continue to monitor levels closely.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.

This message will be updated by 10am tomorrow on Sunday 3rd March, or as the situation changes.
