Flood warning

No further property flooding is expected. River levels are now falling slowly on the River Churn following high levels as a result of previous heavy rain. The forecast for today (31/12/20) is mainly dry. We expect river levels to continue to fall over the coming days, but levels may respond to any further rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Sandbags and pumps have been deployed by the local council and remain in place. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings, avoid contact with floodwater, and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated this evening, 31/12/20, or as the situation changes.
