Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected on 14 December 2025 over night.
Locations most affected will be properties adjacent to the River Cocker at Southwaite Bridge, including Southwaite Mill. Further rainfall is expected overnight.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
