Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Rising river levels this morning may lead to flooding as melting snow pushes river levels up.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations around the River Crimple and River Nidd, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the River Crimple and its tributaries including Horn Beck, Clark Beck, Hookstone Beck, Rud Beck, Toad Hole Beck and Park Beck.
We expect snow melt to continue during Tuesday and Wednesday, river levels may remain high because of this.
We are closely monitoring the situation and liaising with emergency services and local authorities.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
