Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on the River Dearne are rising and expected to peak between midnight and 2am tonight, due to heavy rainfall.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Dearne, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Lundwood including Grange Lane, Lang Crescent, Lang Avenue, Michael Road, Martin's Road and the sewage works.
Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling, or driving through flood water.
