River Derwent at Darley Bridge Flood Warning 2:15am, Friday 8th November 2019

Flood Warning

River levels are rising at the Chatsworth river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is imminent. Areas most at risk are Darley Bridge, and the B5057 between Darley Bridge, and Two Dales Road.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 3 hours. We expect river levels to continue to slowly rise until 04:00 this morning (08/11/19).

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and patrolling watercourses in the area. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
