Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of Storm BABET. Flooding continues.

Areas most at risk are Derby City Centre, including Westfield Centre, the Cathedral, the Council House, and the Bus Station.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 36 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until 23/10/23.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
This message will be updated by this evening, 21/10/23, or as the situation changes.
