Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. Areas most at risk are Little Chester, including the Eastgate, and Cattle Market Areas. Further light rainfall is forecast tomorrow afternoon, 09/11/19.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated later this morning, 09/11/19, or as the situation changes.
