Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of Storm BABET. Flooding continues.
Areas most at risk are Derby Racecourse Park, and surrounding areas of Chaddesden, including Meteor Centre Park, and Ride.
Further rainfall is forecast from Tuesday, 23/10/23. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid any flood water from rivers and surrounding areas, this may contain hazards.
This message will be updated.
