Flood warning

This flood warning remains in force due to high river lever levels on the River Doe Lea this afternoon, Monday 6th January 2025, following persistent rainfall and melting of snow overnight. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Doe Lea, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Staveley including Riverdale Park and properties on Worksop Road.
River levels have now peaked at Staveley and are expected to fall through the rest of today. No further significant rainfall is expected over the next two to three days, and with temperatures remaining low, any lying snow will only slowly thaw.
Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not drive through floodwater. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes. This message will be updated by 23:00 PM on 06/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
