Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

The river Don is currently peaking at Kirk Bramwith following yesterday’s persistent heavy rainfall. River levels will remain high on the Lower Don catchment today but are now falling upstream at Doncaster. Once the peak has passed at Kirk Bramwith, levels are expected to gradually fall throughout the day today, 03/01/2024, and tomorrow.
Despite further unsettled weather over the coming days, with showers at times, no significant further river response is forecast and levels are expected to steadily fall through the rest of the week. We will be closely monitoring the forecasts and river levels.
Please put your flood plan into action and take care when near washlands and low-lying land, which could be flooded. Avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses, and do not drive through floodwater.
This message will be updated by 21:05 on 03/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
