Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels in the Lower River Don remain high today (13/11/19). Higher spring tides for the remainder of this week will work to hold river levels up. In addition we are expecting a band of rain to move across South Yorkshire from approximately 22:00 14/11/19 to the early hours of 15/11/19. Given the wet ground conditions, we expect local rivers to respond, however forecast rainfall is not expected to reach similar totals to those seen on the 7th and 8th of November. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident room remains open 24/7. Our incident response staff have deployed pumps, people and equipment. See GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast, and call 0800807060 to report any flood impacts. Please plan your journey to avoid low lying roads, and check before you travel as local roads may be impassable. https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/services/transport-streets-parking/current-roadworks. This message will be updated by 03:25 14/11/19, or as the situation changes.
