Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels in the Lower Don continue to fall, although there is minimal floodplain capacity, and more rain is expected across South Yorkshire later today. Given the wet ground conditions, we expect the River Don and its main inflows to rise later today and into 15 November although levels are not currently forecast to result in further overtopping of rivers banks and defences. The Leeds incident room remains open and we will be closely monitoring the situation and the need to maintain this flood warning. See GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. Our staff have deployed pumps, people and equipment. This message will be updated by 12:45, or as the situation changes.
