Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen rapidly as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible, between 17:00 Sunday 20/02/2022 and into tomorrow, Monday 21/02/2022. Areas most at risk are Thorn Hill, Northfield and Retail World Shopping Centre.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours and we expect river levels to remain high overnight and into tomorrow, Monday 21/02/2022.
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and put your flood plan into action.
This message will be updated by 02:00 tomorrow morning, 21/02/2022, or as the situation changes.
