Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood Warning

River levels in the Lower River Don (tidal) remain high and higher spring tides for the remainder of the week will work to hold freshwater back as it drains from wash-lands along the river. A band of rain is moving across South Yorkshire currently. This may be locally heavy and given the wet ground conditions, we expect levels in the River Don will rise. However, the latest forecast does not indicate that there will be further overtopping of river banks and defences. We are monitoring the forecast closely and our incident room remains open 24/7. Our staff have deployed pumps, people and equipment. Please visit GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. To report any flood impacts please call 0800 80 70 60. This message will be updated by 23:25, or as the situation changes
