Flood alert

Levels have been slowly falling on the River Don overnight at Doncaster, Kirk Bramwith, and Fishlake. Levels are expected to continue falling slowly throughout today, 08/02/2026. We do not currently expect to issue any flood warnings in this period. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near the River Don from Hexthorpe to Stainforth, including Swaith Dike and North Swaith Dike in Bentley. Norwood Spillway on Ea Beck is in operation and Jubilee Bridge remains closed. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00PM on 08/02/2026 or as the situation changes.
