Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Rising river levels this evening and into the night may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on Friday 14 November overnight into the morning of Saturday 15th November as more rain is forecast.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. River Don and its tributaries from Penistone to Kelham Island in Sheffield.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.  
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
