Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high at the Aston Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and snowmelt. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible this evening, 06/01/2025 and overnight into Tuesday, 07/01/2025. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in the Green Lane and Saltbrook Meadow Farm areas.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high overnight and tomorrow, 07/01/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses, plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and consider moving family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety and call 999 if in immediate danger.
