River levels are high on the River Eamont due to heavy rainfall.
Areas most at risk include properties adjacent to the River Eamont at Eamont Bridge, including the Kemplay Foot, Skirsgill Lane and Southwaite Green Mill areas.
Flooding is expected at properties adjacent to the River Eamont at Eamont Bridge, including the Kemplay Foot, Skirsgill Lane and Southwaite Green Mill areas from 12:00 midnight on 22/01/2024.
Further rainfall is forecast overnight but the heaviest rainfall has now passed.
River levels are expected to remain high overnight into Monday morning.
We will continue to monitor levels closely.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
