River levels are rising on the River Eden due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include low lying roads, farms and isolated properties adjacent to the River Eden at Armathwaite, The Castle, Mill Farm, Dry Beck Farm, Brocklewath, Coathouse Tower, Edenside, Low Holme and Fishgarth. Flooding of property is expected from 8:30 PM on 21/01/2024. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings. This message will be updated by 12:00 midnight on 21/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
