River levels at the Pinxton River Gauge have fallen but the possibility of flooding still remains today, 27 August 2026. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Pinxton, including the Pinxton Wharf access road, Langley Mill, Ilkeston, Stapleford, and the recreation area at Sandiacre. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
