Flood warning

River levels are rising again at the Waterhouses river gauge as a result of a second band of rain associated with Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding of property is possible this morning. Flooding is expected to affect the A523 at Waterhouses and surrounding properties.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours and we expect river levels to rise during Sunday morning.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences, clearing screens and actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger.
This message will be updated on 25/11/24, or as the situation changes.
