Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels continue to slowly rise. Flooding is possible on Monday 16 February 2026. Locations most affected will be low lying land, footpaths and roads near rivers, particularly those near the River Holme and its tributaries including Meltham, Newhill and the Ribble. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . This message will be updated by 09:00 PM 16 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
