Further property flooding is not expected.
River levels on the River Lambourn are high following recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Further flooding of property is not expected but flooding of roads and low lying land may continue today 08/02/2024, especially in the Eastbury area. The forecast today is for persistent heavy rainfall this morning which will ease during the afternoon but will be followed by further heavy rainfall this evening. Levels remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again over the coming days in response to forecast rainfall.
We are monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water and be aware of flooded roads, do not drive through floodwater. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated this evening, 08/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
