Flooding possible. Be prepared.
The River Lavant is high following weeks of rain. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads and gardens will continue. In East Lavant water may affect Sheepwash Lane, Pook Lane, the Green, and bridges across the river. Only scattered showers are forecast Thursday. River levels should not rise far. Friday's weather is uncertain. Rain is currently forecast from mid morning. If as much rain falls as predicted, from 13:00 13/02/2026, river levels could rise a small amount. In addition to existing impacts, minor flooding could also affect gardens of properties at The Sadlers in Westhampnett. River levels should rise less than ten centimetres. Less rain is predicted Saturday, however, river levels will not fall far. More widespread rain and flood risk is forecast on Sunday. River levels could remain high until March. We are operating structures in Westhampnett for the Flood Alleviation Scheme. Don't put yourself or others at risk Avoid roads that flood (Sheepwash Lane). Report blockages to 0800 80 70 60. This message will be updated by 20:00 13/02/2026.
