Flooding possible. Be prepared.
The River Lavant is high following weeks of rain. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads and gardens will continue. A small amount of light rain is expected Saturday afternoon. Less than 5mm of rain. Only a minimal rise in river level is expected Saturday evening. There is uncertainty in Sunday's weather. It is probable another small amount of rain will occur (less than 10mm). River levels should rise less than 10cm Sunday morning. However, a less likely scenario suggests 20mm of rain could be possible, which may cause minor flooding from 10:00 22/02/2026. In East Lavant water may affect Sheepwash Lane, Pook Lane, the Green, and bridges across the river. Water will be close to gardens in Westhampnett. River levels will remain higher than normal until March. Further periods of flood risk are possible while river levels are higher than normal. We are operating structures in Westhampnett for the Flood Alleviation Scheme. Don't put yourself or others at risk. Avoid roads that flood (Sheepwash Lane). Report blockages to 0800 80 70 60.
