Flood alert

The River Lavant is high following weeks of rain. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads and gardens will continue. A small amount of light rain is expected Sunday morning. Less than 5mm of rain. Only a minimal rise in river level is expected Sunday morning. Rain is predicted to clear away Sunday afternoon. No more than an isolated shower is predicted Monday through to Friday. River levels should begin to slowly fall from Tuesday 24/02/2026, but will remain higher than normal for weeks. Further periods of flood risk are possible if rainfall events occur while river levels are higher than normal. We are operating structures in Westhampnett for the Flood Alleviation Scheme. Don't put yourself or others at risk Avoid roads that flood (Sheepwash Lane). Report blockages to 0800 80 70 60. This message will be updated by 20:00 on 23/02/2026.
