Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen and are continuing to rise at the Kites Hardwick river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall overnight. Consequently, flooding of property is possible later this afternoon and throughout today Thursday 28 January 2021. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid contact with flood water and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Please move family, possessions, and valuables to safety and call 999 if in immediate danger. Take photographs and contact your insurance company if you've been flooded. This message will be updated later today Thursday 28 January 2021, or as the situation changes.
