Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Flooding is expected throughout Sunday 24th November. Heavy rain falling in the Upper Torridge area will continue during Sunday. This is causing the River Lew to rise and flooding is expected. Properties and low lying areas around the Riverside Kennels and roads at Passaford will start to flood first. If river levels continue to rise, properties around Gribbleford Bridge and at Hatherleigh - including the Fire Station, Petrol Station, Public House, lower end of Bridge Street and the A3072 and A386, may be affected. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated if the situation changes.
