Flood Warning

Flooding in Leyland is still possible as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. The river levels remain high and potential flooding overnight could occur for areas around the River Lostock, Bannister Brook, Shaw Brook, Mill Brook and Wade Brook. Properties and roads in the Farrington, Earnshaw Bridge, Broadfield, Lower House, Seven Stars and Wade Hall areas of Leyland may be affected. River levels increased earlier today on 28/07/19 and may respond further to rainfall overnight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated in the morning, 29/07/19, or as the situation changes.
