Forecast high river levels tomorrow morning may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 26 August 2026 .
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Mansfield, the Sherwood Forest Caravan Park at Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Ollerton, Whitewater Lane at Whitewater Bridge and West Drayton. Heavy rainfall is forecast throughout the day from the early hours of tomorrow, 26/08/2026 with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Thursday, 27/08/2026, with lighter persistent rainfall through Friday, 28/08/2026. River levels across local watercourses are likely to rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchments.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded .
