The River Mersey near to Palatine Road has now levelled off and will soon start to drop. We are therefore removing this flood warning as there is now no possibility of flooding around the Britannia Hotel and Palatine Road area. A flood alert remains in place for the wider so flooding of low lying land is still possible and there is water in the Didsbury Storage Basin.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will issue further alerts or warnings if necessary, however, the rain will ease soon and there is only small amounts of rain forecast so we do not expect to issue any more warnings for this area for the foreseeable future.
