Flood Warning

River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall yesterday and will remain high for the next 24 hours. The river level peaked at Cobham Mill at 7:30 am this morning and it is now falling, however we believe there is still a possibility of flooding for properties on and around Downside Road, Downside Bridge Road and the area surrounding St Andrews Church. Peak level recorded was higher than the flooding in December 2019.
Minimal further rainfall is forecast today, however we expect river levels to remain high into tomorrow, 18/02/2020.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water.
This message will be updated by 9pm today, 17/02/2020 or as the situation changes.
