River Mole at Stoke D'Abernon, Cobham and South Hersham

Message issued at 9:51am, Tuesday 18th February 2020

Warning no longer in force

The river level peaked at Cobham Mill at 7:30am on the morning of 17/02/2020 and has continued to fall. The Flood Warning has therefore been removed. The peak level recorded was higher than the peak level recorded in December 2019.
Further rainfall is expected in the next few days but it is not expected to cause any property flooding.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and clearing trash screens.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
