Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Heavy rain is currently falling in the River Nene catchment and will continue throughout this evening, Sunday 24th November. This is causing the river to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected. Low lying properties on Bridge Street and West Street in Weedon are expected to be affected first. Further rain is forecast, and therefore river levels will remain high overnight. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by Monday, 25th November, or before if the situation changes.
