Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood Warning

Flooding is expected from the early hours of Sunday morning.
Heavy rain falling in the Dartmoor area will continue throughout Sunday. This is causing the River Okement to rise and the river is forecast to continue rising through the day.
Properties and low lying areas around Brightley Mill, Farm and properties around Brightley Bridge, Jacobstowe Bridge, Mill and A3072 and Monkokehampton New Bridge and Mills will start to flood first from the early hours of Sunday morning. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and this message will be updated as the situation changes.
