River levels are slowly falling and the risk of flooding in this area has now reduced. Whilst the heaviest of the rain has passed, further scattered showers are forecast this evening and overnight, into Monday 17th February. Catchments remain saturated and will respond quickly to further rainfall. Take care near low-lying areas prone to flooding as there may be standing water for several days. We will continue to monitor conditions and issue updates as required. River levels can be viewed on the Gov.uk website.
