Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have peaked on the River Ouse, following rainfall associated with Storm Henk falling on a very wet catchment. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Ouse, particularly around riverside properties in Fulford from Blue Bridge Lane to the A64, and properties in the Fordlands Road area that can be cut-off by road flooding. Further showers are forecast over the next few days and we expect levels to remain high. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Please put your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 3PM on Thursday 04/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
