The flood warning for the River Ouse at York – Clifton remain in force. This warning has been issued in response to rising river levels on the River Ouse in York following prolonged rainfall. Levels are continuing to rise and will continue today, Thursday 21/01/2021. We expect the river Ouse to peak at 4.6 - 4.9m on Friday morning. No further significant rainfall is expected today. York Burdyke Pumping Station is in operation. Please prepare your property, avoid using low lying footpaths, and do not walk, cycle or drive through flood water. Please see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
