High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected today 24 January 2026. Locations most affected will be properties along Queen's Staith, on South Esplanade, Friars Terrace and Tower Place. St George's Field carpark and Rowntree Park. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and activate any flood protection products you may have. This message will be updated by 10:30PM on 24 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
