Flood warning

River levels are high in response to heavy rainfall yesterday and overnight. Flooding is still possible for the next few days while the rivers drain away from high peak levels. Areas most at risk are Millholm Rise and Simpson Road in Simpson, Walton Hall, Mill Lane in Woolstone, Woodall Close, Powell Haven, Bereville Court and Savage Croft in Middleton and Milton Road in Willeny. The forecast is for light showers for rest of today and tomorrow. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Saturday 28 September 2024.
