Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen sharply on the River Rea following the heavy rainfall this afternoon (Sunday 27 May). Flooding of property from rivers is possible and please note river levels are rising rapidly. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely, liaising with our professional partners, and have staff out checking for and clearing blockages. There is the potential for thunderstorms to continue until 9pm this evening across the midlands. These thunderstorms could result in the rapid rising of river levels and the rapid flooding of low lying land and roads. We will issue Updates, Flood Alerts and/or Flood Warnings if necessary.
