Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Otterburn Mill river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. River levels are expected to remain high throughout the evening but will start to fall in the early hours of the morning, 11/08/2019. Further rainfall is possible throughout the night. Consequently, the risk of flooding to property, roads and farmland remains between 21:30 today, 10/08/2019 and 05:00 tomorrow, 11/08/2019. Areas most at risk are Properties around Otterburn Bridge, Mill House and Brownchesters, in Otterburn. As well as, White Acre, The Close, Bridge End, Brae Well Close and Redeside in West Woodburn and Redesmouth Mill in Redesmouth. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 11/08/2019, or as the situation changes.
