This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely this morning Monday 23 September. Areas most at risk are Eastwood Brook around Rayleigh Road and Eastwoodbury Lane areas, Laurence Industrial Estate, Sutton Court Drive and Oak Road, Hall Road and St Andrew's Road in Rochford. It is likely we may need to issue more warning messages for a wider area, over the next few hours. The forecast is for further prolonged heavy rainfall. Be ready to take action to protect your property if flooding is expected. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting the situation to escalate. We will update this message by 5pm on Monday 23 September, or as the situation changes.
