Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling but remain high on the River Rother due to persistent heavy rain yesterday, Friday 20th October 2023. Further showers are expected today, Saturday 21st October 2023.
There remains a risk of flooding to properties. Areas affected include locations near the River Rother, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around businesses of Chesterfield Trade Park, including Chesterfield Football Club and properties along Station Road, East Side Road and New Bridge Lane.
Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
