Flood warning

The flood warning for the River Seven at Sinnington is now in force. River levels are rising as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is possible. The river level at Sinnington is 1.4m and will continue to rise through the evening on Wednesday 20/01/2021. Further heavy rain is expected until Thursday 21/01/2021 and we expect river levels to rise accordingly. Areas most at risk are properties in Sinnington. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and stay aware in case further warnings are issued. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please see the GOV.UK website for current river levels. This message will be updated in 8 hours or as the situation changes.
