Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Gloucester river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding is possible during high tides this evening, Sunday 11/02/24, tomorrow morning Monday 12/02/24, and over the coming days. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Hempsted as well as access to Rea Lane.

Predicted Peaks:- Gloucester, 4.2m to 4.4m during high tide this evening Sunday 11/02/24 and 4.2m to 4.4m tomorrow morning Monday 12/02/24

We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.

Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

This message will be updated by 10am tomorrow, Monday 12/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
